We are a friendly group of Papillon owners who get together with our dogs to enjoy Fun Events, Ribbon Parades and the occasional Show. Not only is this a great way for your dog to socialise with others of the same size, but you get to meet and chat with owners and maybe get answers to any questions about health or behaviour problems by asking the collective experience of the other members. There is a newsletter to keep all members in touch. This website describes the activities of the club as well as bringing you competition results, photo galleries and videos of Papillons in action as well as links to other related websites. We cover Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill, Nelson and Blenheim in the South Island of New Zealand. Membership.
Our winter Ribbon Parade saw a great turnout with 26 Papillons. Our Judge, Martin Hewett, did a great job. He really tuned into the delicate nature of the breed which made the showing experience great for our little dogs. Trevor Thornley did a great job as call steward, keping us all in order and on time. A sample set of photos are in our Online Photo Album and the results are listed in full on our Results Page. We all enjoyed afternoon tea and socializing after the event.
